Recruiting Teams for the Nikkei STEAM Symposium 2025 (For Current Students)2024.12.20

202588On Friday, August 8, 2025, “Nikkei STEAM Symposium 2025 - Change the rule: Challenges to common sense” will be held under the auspices of the Osaka Head Office of Nikkei Inc.
This symposium supports human resource development in the field of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics), and various events for university students, junior high and high school students, and graduate students are scheduled to be held, in which the University of Hyogo will also participate.
Therefore, we are looking for teams to participate in the following events(1)(2)(3)!

Nikkei STEAM Symposium 2025- Change the rule - Challenge to common sense
Date: Friday, August 8, 2025
Venue: INTEX Osaka (1-5-102 Nanko-Kita, Suminoe-ku, Osaka City) 
   *The symposium will also be held in Tokyo (Tokyo International Forum).

Details of the symposium will be available in late February 2025.

(1) “We Ask: For a Free and Prosperous Future” Presentation Contest  
 Eligibility for Participation
  Junior high school students, high school students, university students, and graduate students *Entry in teams of 5 or less
 Activity period
1. Online orientation (mid-April 2025)
2. Online consultation meeting with mentors (irregular)
3. Liaison meeting just before the presentation (late June 2025)
 Contents on the day
1. 4-minute PowerPoint presentation, followed by a 2-minute Q&A session with the judges.
2. Awards ceremony will be held at the venue on the day of the presentation.

(2) "Digital Art Exhibition Presentation"
Eligibility for participation
 Junior high school students, high school students, university students, graduate students *Entry by teams of 5 or less
Activity period
 1. Online orientation (mid-April 2025)
 2. Online workshop (60 min. x 3 times)
Contents on the day
 1. One-minute presentation in the exhibition hall and explanation of works in the exhibition space
 2. Awards will be given to the teams that produced the best works, based on votes by visitors

(3) “DIS STEAM Seminar” Theme (tentative): “The Future Changed by ICT, Student Life of Learning."
 Eligibility for participation
High school, university, and graduate students *Entry by teams of 5 or less
 Activity period
 1. Online orientation (early May 2025)
 2. Online workshop (60 min. x 5 sessions)
 Contents on the day
 1. Presentation on stage in the venue
 2. Q&A session by the judges, and awards to the best teams on the day after judging
