This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, and with population mobility, the community continues to change, making it difficult to preserve earthquake memories. In this symposium, it was suggested that resilience to disasters can be fostered and strengthened through conscious efforts to incorporate elements that allow generations unfamiliar with the earthquake to recognize it within various community projects. They are based on the premise of "weak ties" necessary in highly mobile societies.
