In this symposium, the focus was on sake brewing rice as a symbol of economic growth accompanied by decarbonization in achieving carbon neutrality. The role of government in agricultural innovation was examined, incorporating perspectives from private companies to discuss the future potential of Hyogo Prefecture's sake brewing rice. It was emphasized that maintaining the development and production of sake brewing rice based on the activities of the Agricultural, Forestry and Fisheries Technology Center and linking it to regional revitalization is socio-economically beneficial.
